Miss Alisha-Jayne APTD
Associate Professional Teachers of Dancing
Acrobatic Arts Coach

Principal

Miss Alisha’s joy for dance started when she was Just 3 year’s old, training under the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for 17 years studying Ballet, TAP, Modern and Jazz.  As a child Miss A took part in Semi-Professional ballet shows and over 30 Musical Theatre Productions in Theatres and Arenas up and down the UK,  including 8 consecutive Pantomimes. She enjoyed entering competitions, festivals and assisting her teacher with the junior students. After gaining a place at Cambridge Body Works and studying her Diploma in Musical Theatre, Specialising in Professional Dance, she expanded her knowledge to many different genres and fitness programmes, after completing all her graded examinations, arts awards training and her Associates, she began teaching. With 10 years teaching experience Miss Alisha has worked alongside Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire Council in many dance and theatre projects. Her dance career has taken her many different places performing in Holiday Parks in London and around the coast but ultimately Miss Alisha wanted to teach and create. With her performing years under her belt she now teaches all dance styles professionally under the P.T.D preparing and entering Students in graded examinations. Miss Alisha is still working in the Performing Industry as a Choreographer, her most recent works include The Polar Express Train Ride and Alice and Wonderland. She is proud to here with the Academy that she has dreamt of since a child and worked so hard on for many years, educating the community and giving students a chance to succeed in confidence and qualifications, helping them with their careers whether it is in dance or not....

Miss Rachael

National Diploma in Professional Dance, Trinity London.
Deputy Principal

Rachael started dancing aged 7 at Severn Valley School of Dance, Bridgnorth. At 16 she went to Laine Theatre Arts dance college in Epsom and graduated 3 years later with a Diploma in Dance. A few weeks after graduating Rachael was very fortunate to land herself a contract with Costa Cruise Lines and caught the travel bug after sailing around Europe and South America. Rachael went on to live in Cyprus working for Mondiele Entertainment, performing in a touring Irish show. She then returned to the seven seas travelling all over the world with Carnival Cruise Lines. Following this Rachael started working for Princess Cruises and was quickly promoted to Cast Manager. During her time at Princess Cruises Rachael was lucky enough to perform in two shows created by Stephen Schwartz (Composer of Wicked, Godspell and Pippin.) The second of which was also created and directed by John Tartaglia. (Puppeteer, actor, singer and dancer whose Broadway credits include Avenue Q and Disney's Beauty and the Beast.) With her performing days behind her, Miss Rachael has settled back in the UK to teach here at AJDA and take the role as Deputy Principal working alongside Miss Alisha-Jayne to share with all our students her expertise in the industry.
