an accredidated examining board with the Council for Dance Education & Training (CDET)
With all Staff and Teachers fully insured holding their relevant Qualifications, First Aid, DBS and Child Protection training.
Our classes are for children aged 2 years to teens, with Teacher Training courses and GCSE Dance qualifications available.
We work towards professional examinations which are held annually, although these exams are not mandatory they are highly recommended and at higher levels hold UCAS points. The examination process is carried out in a friendly, relaxed and familiar manner, giving the students an opportunity to be rewarded for all their hard work through-out the year. AJDA has a 100% pass rate and for 8 consecutive years has obtained an over 80% Distinction average result from their students.
Our students are also given the opportunity to perform in our annual showcase which is held at a local Theatre. The show always has a different theme and the routines are taught to all the students leading up the the big night within their normal dance classes from Easter to July. This is always an exciting term for the Academy with students enjoying the costumes, having fun and all coming together to pull off a show stopping performance.
The Academy is in its eighth successful year of attending competitions & festivals. We are proud to be an academy where every child matters, we do not hold auditions to join our competition team all we ask for is 100% commitment, hard work and an eagerness to learn. AJDA enter soloists, duets and trios into competitions as well as groups, we do very well with students winning plenty of medals and trophies, joining our team is a great way to learn life skills and build your confidence whilst making life-long friends along the way.
